Madrona Panther Partners, the PTSA of Madrona Elementary
Building a strong school community
The PTSA's mission is to serve every student. We provide fundraising and volunteer support for our school, helping to fund numerous academic and enrichment programs and activities, as well as hosting community building events. We welcome your involvement — come join us at our next meeting or coffee hour!
Get Involved …
We have several PTSA Committee Co-Chair positions open for 2018-19, and all of our committees could use new energy and ideas. Please browse the lists below and let us know if you or someone you know is interested in taking on a leadership role or joining a committee. All are welcome!
Become a Co-Chair:
Looking for (1) Co-Chair and several committee members to help plan activities such as Hour of Code, the Spelling Bee, the Science Fair, and Drop Everything and Read (DEAR) Day.
After School Enrichment
Currently recruiting (1) Co-Chair and several committee members to assist the school’s After School Program Coordinator in developing fun, engaging after school activities.
Looking for a Co-Chair and a team of 3-4 people to plan fundraising for the year, scout grant-writing opportunities, sell Madrona merchandise, and manage fundraising events such as the Jogathon, Annual Ask, Mayfair Hotdog Stand, and more.
Seeking (2) Co-Chairs to advocate for students, families, and staff at the local and state level and attend Central Seattle PTSA meetings. Exact scope of work to be determined by Co-Chairs.
PBIS TEAM (Postive behavior interventions & Supports)
We need (2) Co-Chairs and several team members to run weekly Panther Paw drawings, monthly Popcorn Fridays (1st Friday of each month), and other fun activities that support our students in following the Panther PATH, Madrona’s positive behavior framework.
Race & Equity Team
Two Co-Chairs and several team members are needed to join school staff in an effort to reduce opportunity gaps and guide our school community through an equity lens, honoring our roots as an historically black school located in an historically black neighborhood that is rapidly gentrifying. Exact scope of work to be determined by Co-Chairs in conjunction with school staff.
SAFE ROUTES to School
Currently recruiting a Co-Chair to help ensure all students can get to and from school safely, with an eye toward environmental stewardship (walking, biking, car-pooling, etc.).
Join a PTSA COMMITTEE:
