Welcome to the home of Madrona Elementary PTSA

A "2017 School of Distinction"

the Madrona Panther Partners

Madrona Elementary is a neighborhood school in the heart of Seattle's Central District. The Madrona Elementary PTSA is a very active part of our strong, diverse community and works hard to support every child who comes through our doors. Madrona Elementary is an arts-infused school, which means that we believe that arts education creates an engaging school environment for our children and has a positive impact on academic success. We are so proud of our school and the continuous progress we have been making. We welcome you to explore our dynamic community! We'll be conducting more School Tours in the fall so please check back for more info on that at that time.

Year-End Newsletter with Schedule of Events

The year has flown by with much fun, learning, laughter and growth. We have a lot going on in the last two weeks of school, with detail available in the Year End Newsletter HERE.

Thank you to Principal McDaniel, our wonderful Teachers and Staff, and all of our Volunteers for making this a great year. Have a great summer!

2nd Annual Madrona Family Fish Fry - May 31 from 5pm-8pm

Our Madrona Elementary 2nd Annual Fish Fry & Raffle on Thursday, May 31st from 5 to 8 pm was a huge success.

This community-wide event featured Leslie Beaver’s famous fried fish and coleslaw, roasted corn, Lily's mac-n-cheese, Gwen's strawberry shortcake, and live music from Mr. Phillips and rockin’ tunes from Ms. Kharen, and a chance to raise money for your neighborhood public elementary school!

We also raffled off almost $2,000 dollars (yup, you read that right) of raffle prizes, and had a Kids’ Raffle for teacher experiences — such as popcorn with Ms. Sarah and Ezell's chicken with Mr. B.

All proceeds from the event will help the PTSA fund our healthy snacks for all students, arts-infused education, and after-school enrichment programs, as well as field trips and special projects like the Playground Renovation, Green Plate Special and Mindfulness Meditation. Pictures of the event to be posted soon!

We love Madrona because the school, the staff, students and families are part of our family. We all know each other’s faces and names, we support each other, hold each other accountable and have fun together. I can’t imagine a better school where my child’s academic success and personal development can flourish in an inclusive environment.
