Welcome to the home of Madrona Elementary PTSA
The Madrona Panther Partners
Madrona Elementary is a vibrant neighborhood school serving Seattle's Central District. The Madrona Elementary PTSA is a very active part of our strong, diverse community and works hard to support every child who comes through our doors. Madrona Elementary is an arts-infused school, which means that we believe that arts education creates an engaging school environment for our children and has a positive impact on academic success. We are so proud of our school and the continuous progress we have been making. We welcome you to explore our dynamic community!

Jog-a-Thon October 18th!
It's been a very busy start to the year, so to give us all time to catch our breath we've moved the date of Madrona's Annual Jog-a-Thon to Friday, October 18th (from the previous September date). The event takes place at Madrona Playfield (rain location: Madrona Gym).
Volunteers are needed from 10am-2pm to set up the field, help teachers walk students from school to the park, count laps using electronic trackers, cheer students on, hand out snacks, and clean up at the end. Click here to sign up online for shift today!
The Jog-a-Thon is the PTSA’s biggest fundraiser of the year, and we hope to beat last year's $30,000 raise to support arts education, field trips, teacher stipends, mindfulness and so much more. Fundraising envelopes with instructions for setting up your student's online fundraising page went home a few weeks back, but you can also just visit pledgestar.com/madronaptsa to get started! Pledges are due November 1st, so you can continue fundraising until then.
Students will run laps for 15 min (K-1), 20 minutes (2-3), or 30 minutes (4-5). Here is the run schedule:
Kinder | 10:50-111:05am
1st Grade | 11:20-11:35am
2nd Grade | 11:45am-12:05pm
3rd Grade | 12:10-12:30pm
4th Grade | 12:35-1:05pm
5th Grade | 1:10-1:40pm
The class that runs the most laps and the class that gets the most pledges (not necessarily the most money) both win awesome prizes. Every student who turns in a pledge envelope — whether or not they raised money — will get to choose a small prize. Thanks for supporting our school!
