Madrona Playground Work Parties
We need YOUR help!
Our new Playground is scheduled to open November 30th and we're asking for YOUR help to make that target! We are moving ahead with our Playground Work Parties, so please sign up for one of the open slots on our PTSA website here: https://www.madronaptsa.org/playground-project/
Just one shift can make a big difference and think how proud our students will be to know that the parents and community at Madrona Elementary all participated to make this happen for THEM.
We need help during the following times:
- November 18th- 30 people for 8:30-12:30, 30 people for 12-4, and 2 people to help with snacks
- November 19th- 30 people for 9-1, and 2 to help with snacks
The PTSA needs you to join a mini-committee!
You! That's right, the PTSA is looking for people to join mini-committees for upcoming events.
Have you been wanting to get involved, but weren't sure how? Are you only available for a few hours here and there? Do you want to help but not lead? Do you want to volunteer for one thing and then sit back and relax? If you said yes to any of these, you are perfect for joining a mini-committee.
Take a look at the upcoming events and email email@example.com if you want to join 3-4 others on a mini-committee to plan, organize and attend an event. There is a wealth of information, tips and support for each event; no need to reinvent the wheel!
Multicultural Night on November 16th - Our biggest event of the year! Music, fashion show, dancing, lots of food and tremendous student displays honoring all cultures. This event is well established and is a highlight of the year. Volunteer for this event and feel good about yourself for the remainder of the year!
Spelling Bee on January 16th - Our first spelling bee last year was better than we could have expected and we need a crew of savvy spellers (or fans of spelling) to collaborate with school leaders to organize this event and possible fundraiser.
Spring Fundraiser in May - Our spring fundraiser has taken many forms over the years and can continue to evolve in any way you dream! Some ideas include: silent auction, online auction, paddle raise or...? Bring your creative mind!
Fish Fry on May 24th - This event was new last year and couldn't have been a nicer way to end the school year. Looking for people who love sharing delicious food and laughs with friends.
Science Fair on June 14th - Harness your inner science geek by supporting this classic academic event. Looking for volunteers who can collaborate with teachers, promote the event and redesign the judging/ awards component.
