Welcome to the home of Madrona Elementary PTSA
the Madrona Panther Partners
Madrona Elementary is a neighborhood school in the heart of Seattle's Central District. The Madrona Elementary PTSA is a very active part of our strong, diverse community and works hard to support every child who comes through our doors. Madrona Elementary is an arts-infused school, which means that we believe that arts education creates an engaging school environment for our children and has a positive impact on academic success. We are so proud of our school and the continuous progress we have been making. We welcome you to explore our dynamic community! We'll be conducting more School Tours in the fall so please check back for more info on that at that time.
Upcoming events (more in calendar below)
2nd Annual Madrona Family Fish Fry - May 31 from 5pm-8pm
Join the Madrona School community for our 2nd annual Fish Fry.
We'll have Leslie Beaver's famous fried fish and coleslaw, roasted corn on the cob, beverages, and dessert. Our own Kharen Nakauye will spin tunes for your dining enjoyment, followed by live music.
Bring your friends, bring your neighbors, and bring a personal toiletry item to help our Madrona families in need.
Tickets are pay-what-you-can (suggested donations: $20 per adult, $15 per child ages 10-15, and $10 for children ages 0-9). We'll be selling raffle tickets with some amazing prizes to win.
If you have questions, want to lend a hand, or have access to a propane burner we can use for the evening, contact Adam Rakunas at 310.907.6141 or firstname.lastname@example.org.

2nd Annual Scripp's Spelling Bee
Madrona PTSA hosted our school’s 2nd Annual Scripp’s Spelling Bee on Thursday, March 1st. The Spelling Bee was open to all 1st through 5th graders who wanted to participate. The winner will go on to the Regional Bee on March 25th.
In addition to the Spelling Bee, we also participated in the Great American Spell Check Fundraiser, which took place on February 15th.
Teachers worked with students to learn 50 spelling words (or sight words for Kinders). Students collected pledges from friends and family for every word spelled correctly. As an incentive, we will reward every student who turns in a pledge form (with or without pledges) with a Free Dress Pass. Students who spell 100% of the words correctly will also receive an additional prize. The classes with the most words spelled correctly and the most pledges collected will also win an ice cream party.
The PTSA has several significant projects underway, and we could use your help. Want to add your contribution to our school and community? You can support Madrona's students in a variety of ways: joining the PTSA, volunteering, making a tax-free donation, or all of the above!
Other Current Volunteer Opportunities: Popcorn Fridays, Panther Paws Drawings, etc
