Madrona Fish Fry

JoIN US FOR an evening of live music, raffle prizes, and incredible food!

Please join us for Madrona Elementary’s 2nd Annual Fish Fry & Raffle on Thursday, May 31st from 5 to 8 pm on the School Playground, 1121 33rd Ave, Seattle.

The Fish Fry is a community-wide event featuring Leslie Beaver’s famous fried fish and coleslaw, roasted corn, Lily's mac-n-cheese, Gwen's strawberry shortcake, beverages, vegan and GF options, live music from Mr. Phillips and rockin’ tunes from Ms. Kharen, great prizes, and a chance to raise money for your neighborhood public elementary school!

Tickets are pay-what-you-can at the door, with a suggested donation of $20 per adult and $10 per kid. This is is our biggest and final fundraiser of the year. If you've been planning to make a donation to the school NOW IS THE TIME. That said, we want EVERYONE to come, so don’t let money be a barrier.

Raffle tickets are $1 each, and you can choose which prize can to put your tickets into to increase your chances. We have a TON of great prizes, including restaurant gift certificates, free hair cuts, a kids bike with all the accessories, Seattle Storm tickets, cupcakes and more. Raffle drawings will start at 7pm.

There will also be a Kids’ Raffle for teacher experiences — such as popcorn with Ms. Sarah and Ezell's chicken with Mr. B — for 25 cents per ticket. We will sell Kids Raffle tickets on Tues and Wed after school in the cafeteria and Wed and Thurs before school in the library, in addition to at the event.

Anyone who brings a toiletry item for our Family Resource Center can earn a free raffle ticket!  We can take cash or cards for all donations.

All proceeds from the event help the PTSA fund our healthy snacks for all students, arts-infused education, and after-school enrichment programs, as well as field trips and special projects like the Playground Renovation, Green Plate Special and Mindfulness Meditation. We hope to raise $20,000 at the Fish Fry to support this important work!

We will also have an interactive PTSA Survey, as well as opportunities to sign up to volunteer and join the PTSA for next year. It takes a village to support our students, and we're asking all of our families to take part (if they want to and they can), so that our PTSA can grow and become more representative of our school community.

We hope you and your families can join us at the Fish Fry — it’s gonna be a great party!
